    This versatile 8K adapter adds multiple ports to the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your MacBook Pro, Windows laptop or Chromebook. The U442-DOCK40-6 allows you to transmit digital audio and 8K video to an external display, add USB peripherals, connect to a Gigabit Ethernet network, and power and charge a PD Charging-compliant host device simultaneously. It is ideal for future-proofing your high-definition or Ultra HD application in anticipation of an 8K upgrade.

    By connecting the built-in USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 8K video and digital audio to a compatible HDMI monitor, television or projector without installing special software drivers.

    The HDMI port supports 8K UHD resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz for professional photo and video editing. It also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR10+), providing a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks. HDCP 2.3 compliance allows you to stream 4K content with no complications. This adapter also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.

    Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports accept USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards and printers. They support lightning-fast data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps and are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. One USB-A port and the USB-C port provide up to 5 V/1.5 A (7.5 W) of charging power to mobile devices. The other USB-A port provides 5 V/0.9 A (4.5 W) to connected devices. The three ports support over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short circuit protection.

    The USB-C Power Delivery port provides power output up to 20 V 5 A (100 W), which is sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a MacBook or Chromebook. Just connect the device's AC wall charger to the USB-C PD port.

    The dedicated RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast web browsing.

    The Plug-and-Play USB-C multiport adapter is specifically designed for the MacBook Pro, Windows laptops and other notebooks, smartphones, tablets and devices equipped with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.
